IAM values of solar thermal collectors and pump curves are now editable - Master Tanks that fit into any hydronic scheme and that make changing tank volumes easy: the creation of new tank entries is not required any more. Tank volumes range from 100 to 1500 liters, battery tank volumes up to 5000 liters.

Due to the change of the Java version this update is rather large (~65 MB). Therefore the update process might take longer than previous ones. Known limitations of the latest Polysun 4 Version
- 4-way-valve is not included
- The taking of warm water is only possible directly and not through the stratifier lance
- Uncovered collectors are not included yet
- Help pages are not available for certain countries (country set up Windows XP). Html-based help can be obtainable through here
- Version 4.0.1.0 cannot import certain PS4.0.0.x-projects. This problem is being resolved within a following update so that later versions can import old projects.
- From version 4.0.0.x to version 4.0.1.0 the automatic update does not work. The old version has to be deinstalled and 4.0.1.0 has to be newly installed.
- Automatic update functions only with version 4.0.0.9. User with the origninal version of 4.0.0.8 or earlier have to download the installation file . The liscense file will be renamed wtihin this installation procedure. One has to manually back copy the license.lic (standard contents program/SPF/Polysun4/license)
- If the buildings demand of energy is not met by far the room temperature can become negativ and can also go below the environmental temperature.
- The area depending scaling for the buildings surface colleting the energy should be chosen within 0.5 to 2.
